En este caso, al igual que con Calamity de Brandon Sanderson, venía con muy altas expectativas luego del final del libro anterior. "Rule of Thoughts" había terminado en un cliff-hanger increíble luego de que los personajes cometieran actos terroristas y ya no pudieran distinguir entre la realidad y los videojuegos. Y ahí quedo toda la emoción y la acción. Este libro comienza más o menos bien, pero nunca llega a los niveles de acción que prometían sus predecesores.
La historia en si es decente, pero la falta de acción hace que sea bastante monótona de leer. Me pareció que en este sentido el autor podría haber creado una historia mucho mejor y haber cautivado muchísimos mas lectores. Además si tenemos en cuenta que este libro cierra casi todos los conflictos que había en los libros anteriores, este libro es muy light. Tampoco ayuda que los personajes se cambian de bando y de parecer como si cambiaran de canal. Increíble.
Honestamente quede muy defraudado por como James Dashner decidio cerrar esta trilogia.
