"Red Seas Under Red Skies" es el segundo libro en la trilogia que narra las aventuras de Locke Lamora, asi que si no queres spoilearte mucho, recomendaria que leas el primer libro, el cual es excelente.

Ahora, pasando a este libro en cuestion: tengo sentimientos encontrados.

La historia empieza unos dias despues de los eventos que ocurren en el libro anterior y siguiendo el mismo ritmo que traia la historia, con los personajes viajando a Tal Verrar, una ciudad completamente distinta a su pueblo natal de Camorr. Pero todo cambia cuando en medio de uno de sus planes caracteristicos todo se les da vuelta a causa de un encuentro inesperado.

Hasta ahi todo perfecto, no? Suena super interesante? Bueno, de ahi en adelante el ritmo de la historia decae un poco y se vuelve bastante lineal, dejando poco espacio para los tipicos trucos que usaban siempre para salir de situaciones dificiles.

Y ese es el problema que tengo con este libro. Por partes se vuelve super chato y aburrido mientras que por otras esta lleno de accion y aventura. Una persona en goodreads hasta lo describe como una mezcla entre Oceans Eleven y Piratas del Caribe, y no podria estar mas de acuerdo, pero para mi es un libro con muchos altibajos.

De cualquier manera, es muy buena lectura y tiene un final que en muchos aspectos redime a la historia por completo.
